Belonging. Remembering. Serving. Activating.

About this Event

No matter where in the world you are… you are invited to join starting this Saturday (the Spring Equinox – 3/21/2020), for a daily online candlelit Vigil that will last 14 days (beginning 3/21/2020 and ending 4/3/2020).

Together we will reflect on the moral, existential, psychological, and revolutionary impacts this virus will have on humanity and our species. We will explore how we can move through this pandemic with grace, love, and surrender. While asking the really hard question – what virus are we really fighting?

Each 30 minute Vigil will start with the lighting of candles (try and have a candle and lighter with you), a brief meditation, and then we’ll dive into the major theme for that day’s Vigil. The themes will be framed through social analysis, commentary, poetry, and excerpts from meaningful books.

This Vigil is donation-based and open to the entire Global Community. It will take place over Zoom Video Conference – after registration, a ticket with a Zoom link will be delivered to your inbox (didn’t receive a link? Please reach out to [email protected]). You can attend one Vigil session or you can attend all 14 days. All donations go to One Common Unity, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that breaks cycles of violence and builds compassionate, healthy communities through the transformative power of music, arts, and peace education. In times of economic crisis, non-profits are often the first to be effected. Now, more than ever, your support is greatly needed, allowing us to shift our social-emotional learning curricula, creative arts programming, and mental health services online. With your help, we can continue to serve our students and create healthy, safe, and resilient communities through the transformative power of education and the arts.
